NAME: Birdsong ALIASES: Bird, Mouse-Brain, Spazz & Would-you-calm-down-Birdsong! SEX: Female ORIENTATION: Straight AGE: 21 Moons CLAN: Windclan POSITION: Warrior
APPEARANCE:
Birdsong is wrapped in thin cream fluff across her torso, her wild wind blown mane puffing out around her neck and lower half more then any other section of her body. It's a prime length for getting debris caught up in it, which annoys her to no end on most days. Her tail though angers her naught, the fluffy length the quirky warrior's favorite feature about herself, and a constant reminder that she's really a kit at heart. Under all the fur her tail is missing about a inch, but it's barely noticeable, except for when she's wet. (That's an amusing sight by it's self.) Her tail is ringed with a off, muddy brown up to where it meets her spine, at which point her pelt has a bleached golden spot. She calls it's the sun's kiss, as that's what her mother told her once upon a time.
The rest of Birdsong looks like she rolled around in a mud puddle and hadn't bothered to clear it all off in the hard to reach places. (Which knowing her is quite, quite possible.) Her rump has assorted sizes of those same, muddy stripes that are on her tail, and they get increasing they lighter as they reach her shoulders before vanishing into the sea of creamy cat. All four of her paws looks like she had a hey-day in that same puddle - they are completely brown at her toes then taper off into her upper. Her face didn't escape the dirty coating though - under both of her sparkling sky colored eyes is a splotch of brown, then one more down her muzzle to her black nose. Only the base of her ears have this same coloring, the top of both bleaching into the same 'sun kiss' on her back (though she doesn't know this, and if she had she'd most likely consider herself a sun goddess of some sort.).
She believes every cat's pelt is based on their personality, and it makes sense with her spastic logic, so the warrior believes her brown markings enlighten everyone on her 'everywhere' personality. Birdsong would go nuts if she had been born a plain cat.
PERSONALITY:
Birdsong is a everywhere, attempt to do everything she-cat. She likes to get into new adventures, and is more then happy to go on an outing with her clan mates. The warrior is a bit quirky in her own little ways as she contradicts herself greatly most of the time - she loves hunting, but is afraid of Mice from Thunderclan and can't track for the sake of Starclan. She likes to be tidy and will groom others to her likings if they're a mess, but yet will go and explore and get dirty to her core and not clean her fur for ages. And yes, she'll deny she contradicts herself, even if you have hard facts.
Her love for said Adventures often leads her to trouble, and rather kittenish things. Rarely does any good come out of her explorations, other than a few laughs at her own stumbles and mishaps, so most try to exert caution when with her. She, though, throws caution to the wind. Squirrels are the most amazing thing ever to her... even though she's never actually caught one, or had the chances of encountering a live one herself. Thus, she'll happily talk an unknowing apprentice into tagging along with her on the hunt for bushy tailed prey. Story of her life, seriously.
Others quickly become apart of her list of 'companions' whether it's their will or not (or even if they know her or not) as her attachment to others is a vast sea. Gatherings are the most fantastic things to her - apart from the Shadowclan cats, whom she's deathly afraid of - and she'll happily blurt out cheesy and Birdsong-y things to other clan cats whom she assumes to be her companions. This goes even more for other Windclan cats - when around she-cats Birdsong tries to maintain a calmer personality, often times utterly failing the 'grown up' act but with males she can act like a total flirt. It's a natural thing, even though she has no desires for a mate until her old (old old) age. Her bouncy, cheery meow and quick, quirky actions often scare them off anyways, so she's good. Though her extreme attachments are one of her greatest downfalls. It tears her apart inside to see anyone injured, and the Medicine cat's den is the equivalent to hell for her. Birdsong will become clingy to the injured and the down-in-the-dumps, often annoying them to no end when she's just trying to help.
Even though she often doesn't like to follow suggestions - you tell her to sush and she'll keep on rambling about the clouds, or Starclan only knows what - Birdsong does show respect to those above her, and will actually listen and take orders from the higher ups in her clan. (Those below her is a waste of breath.) She doesn't like to takes things to physical conflict, for her fear of loosing her friends, but if her leader deems it she will put it on her line for the clan, tossing her usual stuff aside to show the real 'mature' side under the muddy fluff. This side is a rarity, and it frightens her that one day she might have to permanently turn into perfectly-sane cat. Even though it gets her into bales of trouble sometimes, she loves her own naive-ness (see: Thunderclan Mice) as it just makes her life that more enjoyable.
FEARS:
-> Not going to Starclan when she dies. -> Losing those closest to her. -> Shadowclan. She's very closed-minded about them. -> The mice that come from and live in Thunderclan Territory. Somehow she has a mutated picture of them... even though most Windclan mice have most likely gone through Thunderclan themselves. -> Medicine Cat's Den.
ASPIRATIONS:
Birdsong just wishes to make other's life brighter and better. It would make her lifetime a success if she found herself being someone else's idol or role model, but she's fine as long as others are just happy.
RELATIONS:
FATHER: - Undisclosed By Her Mother MOTHER: - Cloudeyes; A equally quirky she-cat with soft blue eyes. SIBLINGS: N/A MENTOR: - Ravenwing (Starclan); A aloof black tom whom helped attribute to her still kittish nature. CRUSH/MATE: N/A OFFSPRING: N.A OTHER: - Halfpaw (Thunderclan): They met at a gathering, and she's obsessed with his pelt. - Ghostshell (Riverclan): She knows him closely by way of Ravenwing, and knows his secret. She'll never tell it, though.
HISTORY:
Birdsong's mother was no one out of the ordinary fold of Windclan life. She was born as a only child, most likely due to her mothers growing age. This quickly came to Cloudeye's blessing - as a kit Birdsong was more then a pawful, she required all four. Her childhood was a complete adventure - the creamy ball of fluff had little heed for her mother's warnings and constantly ventured about camp and outside of it on her own.
Shortly after apprenticeship, Birdpaw was on a hunt for her new-found obsession: a squirrel. Her mother had done one of her favorite past times; story telling, and completely obsessed her daughter with the bushy tailed rodent. On her solo hunt, the creamy floof ended up launching her self up a stray tree that existed on the Windclan side (to her pleasure the tree had been cut down by the two-legs a few moons later) and getting her tail stuck. In her fight to break free from the grasp of the squirrel habitat, she fell out of the tree, ripping the end of her tail badly. The tip had to be removed to properly stop the bleeding, though her love for squirrels was not detoured. Ravenwing couldn't help but laugh his head off after hearing this - promising her to take her on real squirrel hunt. Sadly he died before fulling his promise.
Birdpaw had an extreme obsession for Ravenwing, and for most of her adolescence he was the only one she would listen to. The goofy tom often helped fuel her antics, which caused her to hardly get any training in. (See: Poor Hunting Skills) Though after he died from Greencough, Birdsong began to finally respect all above her, while also attempting to grow up. That failed miserably, so she decided that she'd attempt to make everyone's lives brighter, just like the blue-eyed tom often did.
Her first night as a warrior was as close to a failure as possible, as she let her blabbering yap go while on silent vigil. The scolding afterward was much, but she hasn't let it slow her down yet, loyalty still intact.
EXTRA:
The original Birdsong returns, though grown up a bit more she hasn't matured one bit.
