Birdsong Fluffy snow drifted from the sky, a dozen of the growing clumps landing before the cream cat finally exploded - letting out a wail of mini triumph. Though the moors of Windclan were barren and covered with droves of the winter seedlings, the broken and crooked grasses and fortified walls kept most out of the camp, save for the very center and little mounds of drifted snow. The storm had increased during her sleep, and the constant pelting of snow was finally making it's dent on camp. Having been previously forbid from leaving without a chaperon, Birdsong was more then ecstatic to be able to frolic inside the boundaries of camp. "Cold Rainnnnn~" she bleated merrily, seating herself suddenly where the flow was the heaviest. The warrior tried her best not to move so the snow accumulated over her shoulders and being, save for the constant twitch of her whiskers merrily bouncing away. "Come on, come onnnnn...." The she-cat continued to whine, waiting for the chilling blanket to increase. She was now on a stealth mission, assigned to her by none other then her imaginary little friends, ignoring the cold in hopes of pouncing on one of her fellow clan mates off guard. 'Oh the fun I will havveeee~' Snow tickled at her nose, filled her ears as well, and Birdsong couldn't help but giggle cattily, uncontrollably. Suddenly it dawned on the warrior and she began to laugh louder, hoping to catch the attention of one of her clan mates, finally. She was the impatient type.Right Round - Flo Rider

One step at a time... A small red nose appeared from the leader's den, followed by one paw, and then a second paw. The tom rushed out into the weather, hit by a blast of cold air, he quickly flinched. After shaking himself, Laststar shivered and glanced around the camp to search for any cat active in the horrid weather. For a moment, he saw no one, and breathed a heavy sigh before stalking over to the fresh-kill pile. Most of it was frozen, having been exposed to the snow, but still vaguely edible. The tom wrinkled his nose, dissatisfied with the current rations. It would be better just to find something wandering around to kill and ear; rabbits were still active in Leaf-bare, weren't they? The tom inwardly groaned at the thought of having to go out in the open, especially if the stuff began to fall in sheets. After standing around for a few heartbeats debating the issue, Laststar finally decided on going out on a small hunting patrol, perhaps even alone. He made his way to the entrance to camp, light footsteps as his bright, ginger fur brushed against the masses of white snow, until he saw that there was already another cat waiting for him. Twitching his tail, Laststar corrected himself. She was waiting for anyone; but he happened to be the one to come along, that's what the tom had learned of Birdsong. He swallowed, for, he really couldn't refuse the she-cat, the tom was actually quite fond of her energetic personality. Perhaps, it was even why he hated her being out alone. "Birdsong," greeted the warrior with a meow, "would you mind going out to hunt with me?" His tail flicked nonchalantly as his yellow gaze met hers for a breif moment.

Birdsong Somewhere along the line, Birdsong began to shiver, causing the mountain above her to tremble with the conjunction of body functions and laughter. Her eyes squeezed shut in delight, making her completely oblivious to the Leader's presence.
"Whoa!" she yelped loudly, startled by the inquiry. Instantly she broke away from her snow pile, hopping forward to shake it away from each paw in turn. Once she looked semi-presentable again, she couldn't help but brood for a moment, her plotting wasted by the she-cat's own stupidity. Birdsong recovered quickly, despite crushed efforts, bouncing on her toes as she rounded him. "Well we'd have to wake all the prey up first..." she toned as if it was common knowledge to all, "'Cause if they're anything like us around here, they are all still sleeping in!" The Cream warrior's tail swished merrily, sweeping away the snow behind her as she rocked from heel to toe for a second, pondering the situation.
"But I guess hunting sounds cool. All the snow just makes it that much more fun!" It was obvious now that hunting wouldn't be her main goal - her tone clearly dictated she just wanted to frolic around and break the cleanly lain snow. It was too tempting for her not too, and the snowy distraction completely kept her oblivious to her own hunger (for now). Wake Up Call - Maroon Five

We're taking it slow... The tom's tail twitched in amusement, his patience holding strong as he began to pad out of the camp. He examined each movement Birdsong made with more thought than necessary. She was an upbeat cat, he knew that much, and things always seemed much more interesting when she was around. The tom purred softly, "I suppose so. We can't let those rabbits waste the day away in their burrows, can we?" His paw slipped forward against the frozen ground with no hesitation, the leader himself shivering slightly as the white powder dropped from his pelt as he moved. The warrior's muscles rippled as he shuddered; he liked being a bright cat, but the only problem was his failure to hide in the current weather conditions. Laststar continued walking, glancing back every few heartbeats to make sure Birdsong was on track; giving amused purrs at her actions every now and then. "Don't make it too much fun, or all the rabbits will envy you," he spoke, "and we wouldn't want that, would we?" The leader continued to travel over the ice-covered hills of WindClan's territory, in search of any sign of life. From the beginning, he wasn't having much luck, and it seemed that the conditions wouldn't be improving. In a bemused manner, the tom used his paw to begin scooping snow out of the side of a rather large snow drift, until the unstable top collapsed on top of him. Silhouettes - SES

Birdsong Birdsong trailed along, finding her own logic in his words. Hunting was never the best in Windclan during the winter - the worst having to be Riverclan with their frozen rivers - so the warrior was much more amused by sudden spirals of snow then sniffing around to find nothing at all. Idly she wondered what the odds of finding a Squirrel was, if they headed closer to the border, and as her feet kept moving she day dreamed endlessly of Winter squirrels. With peripheral vision she kept a grasp on her leader as she Squirrel hunted, not taking any concern when he began to indulge into prodding the banks. If the rabbits needed a quick get a away den, it was the perfect place.
Suddenly though the negative noise of falling snow broke, with a cotton thud. Her snowy squirrel popped instantly, and with a frantic meow she called out, "Laststar?" The Windclan warrior bounded, strong Wind-bred back legs easily taking her over the top of the small mounds in her way. "Laststar!" Her cry shriveled in her throat as she reached the destination she left him at, and instantly she bounded into the pile, trying to kick up as much snow as possible, even though it was an ungodly height above her. Keep on the path... The tom emerged and shook himself, scattering the snow that clung to his fur. His teeth chattered, but the brightly colored leader of WindClan flicked his tail to silence her. "Oh, be quiet," he meowed lightly, "I'm alright, just a bit careless." Still shivering, the tom began to groom the moisture out of his fur, with very little luck. He, quite irritated, eventually gave up and turned to Birdsong, before nonchalantly flicking his ears. "Its just snow. I'll be perfectly fine." The tom stood up and flexed his muscles in demonstration, before padding once more through the snow-covered territory belonging to their Clan. He sunk down into a crouch and took the quietest steps he could, the leader's senses tuning in as he began his hunt. The she-cat did not go totally ignored, as Laststar turned his head and gazed at her periodically, to check and make sure the she-cat was behaving herself. If she were too loud or reckless, she could scare what little prey they had left roaming the territory. The tom came to a halt, ears pricked and jaws open. For a moment, the tom believed he saw movement out of the corner of his eye, and went totally still, waiting to see what would happen. Hero and Heroine - Boys like Girls

Birdsong The snow under her began to shake, and when her leader emerged a small chirp of delight escaped her lips. Instantly she faltered when told to shut up, and her chest puffed out. "And you tell me to be careful!" the Windclan warrior muttered under her breath, tail dragging behind her as Laststar kept on. Her sky eyes held no anger, but her pelt bristled with sudden irritation and the remainders of worry. She kept trained on the large drops of water that clung to his back now, a ear twitching here and there as she desperately wanted to check herself if he was okay. ' I don't need him going to the Medicine cat's den on my watch....' " Buh!" exploded from her, breath taken for a second when she accidentally rear ended her leader. Backing up a few steps, Birdsong, in a huff, glancing side to side wildly. When nothing caught her attention, impatiently she sat with a ' flop' in the snow, reserving her energy when Laststar decided to work again.

Stand still for a moment... A dash of white and Laststar lunged, his sharp eyes trying to keep on the target that blended so well into the snow, much unlike his bright ginger fur. The leader took a leap, coming down upon the hare, having shed its brown fur for a white winter coat, and crushed its neck under the weight of his impact.
The tom then moved off, giving a silent prayer to StarClan, before picking the hare up in his jaws and turning his head to look once more at Birdsong. He muttered inaudible words through the prey and padded back over to her, his head held a little higher than before. Laststar was being a little smug, he'd admit, but he would never agree to the fact that he was too vain for his own good.
Once he was back at Birdsong's side, the tom dropped the kill and swiped his tongue around his jaws. "Well, I think this trip started on a good note, don't you?" He gave an amused purr and gave another survey of the snowy hill. The untouched color, save for the mess he had made before, was actually a very calming scene, and the tom relaxed for a moment, just enjoying the view of the empty territory buried underneath a blanket of snow.

Birdsong The cream she-cat blinked at snow kicked up at her face, the white fluff discharged with Laststar's sudden movements. She blinked hazy sky eyes as her leader returned, bowing her head slightly in submission as he pranced back, high on his horse. She wasn't quite sure why he bothered with the comment - any hunting trip that Birdsong accompanied that actually caught prey was a merical. " It'll feed the Apprentices, won't it?" she purred happily, thinking of Sagepaw back at camp. Though still slightly disgrunted at the leader's scare before - she was already forgetting herself what had transpired and why she was even mad even more - the Windclan warrior chirped happily, tilting her head to the side. " Would there be more by the farm? Like mice in the fluffy-animal feed?" It made sense to her, mouth slightly adjar as she waited for a response. Sometimes, sometimes there was a good thought or two inside her noggin.
