APPEARANCE:
A ginger tabby with yellow eyes
A rather large cat due to his age, Laststep has very masculine features, including his broad shoulders and square jawline. Despite this, he's a thin cat with long legs and a short tail. The tom always holds his head high and observes things around him from that point, "like a hawk" would be the best way to describe the gesture. His ears are short and round, always leaning foreward as if listening intently to what's in front of him.
The tom's pelt is a bright, fiery ginger color with the fur on his chin and pelt a slightly softer and creamier color. He has darker stripes, along with flecks of red and brown mixed into his fur. He's short-haired cat.
Laststep has dull yellow eyes and his muscles adjusted in a permanent squint. His nose is red and he has gray, short whiskers that protrude from his muzzle.
The tom's paws are large and built. His pads are pink, but hardened from running on the Moore. He has strong, thin legs with protruding muscle. The tom's bones are buried basically beneath his muscles in nearly all forms, except around his chest where on the left side of his body the chest seems misshapen with bumps and patchy areas of fur.
Like many cats, scars run on Laststep's entire body. Most are around his flank and upper legs, but for the most part he has no scars that particularly stand out.
PERSONALITY:
To start things off, Laststep is an ego-maniac, he has his pride and his clan, both of about equal importance in his eyes, and he'll defend both with his life. Its up to the cats of his Clan to keep him from getting too tempered to think straight.
This makes it easy to manipulate Laststep as well. Though he's usually very cautious and suspicious to those outside his Clan, the tom loves to be complimented and flattered, though on his appearence nothing will do you any good. Once his pride has been bruised he'll remain hostile, rarely does Laststep try to rekindle friendship with anyone around him. He likes to remain independent, but always listens to the opinions of those around him. Originally, he was a patient cat, and often remains so until his prideful side comes out.
He is not a cat who will act emotionless - Laststep is passionate and loving, and always likes to show that to the ones he cares about. He'll go out of his way for them, sometimes making a fool of himself just to cheer up his Clanmates.
One of the many things that Laststep lacks is a moral code, he's easily swayed and follows prejudice without being attentive to his judgement. The tom follows the warrior code, though not always to the letter, due to the fact that he thinks some rules can be bent in certain situations. He's not close to StarClan, in fact, he personally has recieved no signs from them outside of visits to Moonstone.
FEARS:
Being sensible, Laststep is aware that two-legs and their monsters, as well as dogs, foxes, hawks, and badgers are creatures to be aware of. Its more of a fear towards the weaker cats around him, but nevertheless he tries to avoid these animals as much as possible.
For an irrational fear, something that no one would expect, Laststep is afraid of rain, better known as Ombrophobia. He refuses to travel outside when water is pouring from the sky, although if necessary he may go out if its barely drizzling. He is also uncomfortable around mist and snow.
ASPIRATIONS:
Laststep's ultimate goal of being the best warrior he can will last him until StarClan, a lightly childish goal that remains in the heart of many warriors. He dreamed of becoming Clan leader, just as many when he was a kit. Finally, Laststep wishes for kits, though the problem is he hasn't found a she-cat he likes well enough to consider it.

HISTORY:
Lastkit was born, as his name states, the last kit of his litter. Lightfeather and Brokenear were both nearly elders, leading to Fernkit, Brightkit and Lastkit being in the second and final litter. All of the kits were healthy at birth, but as time went on Brightkit showed developmental problems, similar to those held by the only kit in Lightfeather's first litter, Skybite.
His sister and older brother suffered from a physical weakness resolving in muscle spasms, eventually exhaustion and then often a loss of short-term memory. This occurence seemed to be common on Lightfeather's side of the family, though she herself did not have the weakness.
The day the kits, having had a very obedient and mundane kithood, became apprentices together at six moons was the most exciting thing in their life. The leader at the time, Graystar, had assigned Lastpaw to a very angry young she-cat known as Fallingfoot. The she-cat was tough on the young apprentice from the start, dragging him out with her to fight and hunt and often expecting him to do things before he was taught. Lastpaw never noticed it though; his intense goal to become a great warrior often blinded him.
His first gathering took place in new-leaf. The tom went with his mentor, though neither of his siblings went since Fernpaw had gotten in trouble for almost crossing the border and Brightpaw had her condition. There was a huge argument between WindClan and RiverClan, and even a question of a battle.
This battle came - and it was over quickly, the problem (though it was more of pride than anything) resolved between the two Clans. The deputy, however, met his death and it was Fallingfoot who replaced him, much to Lastpaw's pleasure. Because of her duties, Fallingfoot had less time to spend worrying about her apprentice, and convinced the leader that Lastpaw deserved his name.
Although it wasn't immidiate, only a moon later, Laststep, Fernpelt and Brightleaf recieved their names, and Laststep finally began to grow close to his older brother, having not really paid any attention to either of his sisters who were close friends between themselves.
Many moons followed in the tom's warriorhood, and Laststep grew an ego and a liking to show off. Skybite was the only one not afraid to bring his younger brother down from his hot-headed arrogance. His first apprentice was named at last, much to Laststep's expectancy; Squirrelpaw. She was a very shy she-cat, but when the other cat's weren't looking she would get emotional and touchy. Laststep taught her in a different method - he was patient with her, and Squirrelpaw grew to tell him everything and he grew very protective of her.
However, when Squirrelpaw was finally close to her warrior name Skybite was giving the assesment. Having had a black-out in his mind, he returned to camp, the other cats shocked. The she-cat disappeared, finally turning up after a few days. She had been slain. They sent her off to StarClan, and later identified the attack as an eagle, but Laststep was overcome more by depression. In fact, he took no notice as both his parents passed away, along with Fernpelt who had caught a severe case of greencough.
Eventually, the leader fell to his last life, and Fallingstar moved up to claim the position of leader - and naming Laststep as her deputy. However, it was Fallingstar's temper that got her into fights with the other Clans. For moons it was constant battling, even then Laststep was given another apprentice, a young tom named Berrypaw, whom the warrior always kept at tail's length so not to get his emotions to well up again. The battles ended with Fallingstar's last life, Laststar gaining his own name and the lives of a leader.
He snapped back into place; completing Berrypaw's training, giving him his new name of Berryfeather, and taking on the role he felt a leader should. He chose Skybite at the time, his older brother who knew how to keep Laststar in line, as his deputy. However; accidents are not always avoided, and having lost his memory at another odd moment Skybite lost his life to the gourge.

Okay, Laststep/star is done - only I didn't name a deputy and I killed Skybite. I assume someone else can create the position, ne? I don't like to use a lot of names in my history, so it sounds a bit rushed, but here it is!

ATTRIBUTES:
Laststep has experience on the battlefield and with life and death, his life may not consist of an exciting plot and an evil conspiracy against him, but the tom has a potential strength in leading the Clan with his fairly average warrior life. He's cautious and caring, deeply involved with his Clan, and Laststep would never try to distance himself from his clanmates. He's cautiousexcept about his egoand honest, with no fear of speaking how he wants to. He's a cat who will see things through to the end before he even begins to start anything new; meaning that he won't let any problem persist in the Clan without being brought to attention.
IMPLICATIONS:
As many young cats, Laststep has a burning desire to prove his worthand inflate his egoto the other cats around him, much like a competition. He, though obedient, likes to be listened to and feels that he can make all of the Clan's ideals work. Not to mention, Laststep thinks he can handle the attention well, and that a strong, level-headed cat like himself is worthy of appearing as the Clan leader. Since he believes he gets along well with others, Laststep also thinks that he could show the Clan the best ways to work together.
