NAME: Sagepaw ALIASES: Sage, Little cat, Rabbit SEX: female|she-cat ORIENTATION: Straight AGE: Six Moons (only just) CLAN: WindClan POSITION: Apprentice
APPEARANCE:
Sagepaw is a pretty young she-cat, fresh from the nursery as you can tell from her kit-soft fur. Small with a willowy build and legs that will hopefully lengthen by the time she moves into the elder's den. Sage often trips over her over sized paws much to her embarrassment. It's obvious that this kit is a she-cat with her dainty form and thin bone structure but don't let that fool you as she keeps her long claws deadly sharp! Her long and fluffy fur is white with big gray splotches and a fluffy dark gray tail.
Her markings are odd starting from the white lily petal shaped spot on her right ear and extending to the broken chestnut colored stripes on her hind legs. Her two front paws are midnight gray and thus much darker than her other splotches. There are multiple scars on her rather large ears with their adorable owl like tufts of white fur. Sagepaw's pale grayish blue eyes are flecked with green and are outlined with thin gray stripes, while dark gray flecks her white muzzle and chest. Her thin build and soft fur often leads her to being mistaken for a rabbit by her Clanmates...much to her irritation.
This kit has a long scar along her spine from an attack by a hedgehog a few moons ago. She holds her dainty head high and her pale gaze steady despite any internal emotional battles going on within her heart. Sagepaw is often thought of as attractive but she knows in her heart that she's just cute. But maybe one day she'll grow to be a beautiful she-cat who has pretty kits. She holds her body shoulders straight and chin up in defiance and her gray tail is often found to be twitching in irritation. Be wary when her eyes go silver though for it means her temper has been released.
PERSONALITY:
This cat is well known for her easy temper and generous irritability. The cause of this is unknown though some suspect anger issues on her father's part, or the unknown grandparents on her mother's side. Its a giant rumor mill. Despite her temper, Sagepaw is easily excitable and down right gullible sometimes. As a kit she was used to being the youngest in the den and often disobeyed her mother to go sit out in a pool of moonlight in the center of camp. Of course this all ended after a near deadly encounter with a swooping owl. A rather fanciful kit, Sagepaw loves spending her time lazing about and dreaming up wild stories to tell her friends as well as her clan mates. Though, it takes her a few minutes to realize when she needs to stop talking...usually AFTER she's said something she shouldn't have.
Without her clan, this small kit would probably end up in the forest on her own talking to herself. Granted, she still talks to herself (making up stories or scolding herself) but without WindClan it would probably worse. She's stubborn and honestly believes that her stories are true which can lead to some of her more gullible friends believing her as well. Sagepaw is a stubborn little one and will always stand by what she thinks is right even though in the eyes of others it is clearly wrong. However, this cat isn't all rainbows and butterflies. There's an 'alter' if you will of this joyful apprentice. Its not like an alternate personality but a side of her that is rarely shown. One that is a bit sinister and questioning and depressed. A sad kit who feels like shes lost her favorite toy.
FEARS:
For an apprentice, this cat has a rather odd fear. She has a paralyzing fear of thunderstorms. The reason for this is unknown but the level of fright escalates depending on how bad the storm in. At the highest level she's too scared to move.
ASPIRATIONS:
Despite the normal aspirations of any clan cat, Sagepaw doesn't have many dreams or goals. Sure theres the fanciful notion of all four clans coming together as one clan instead of fighting over the last piece of fresh-kill, but even she knows that unless there were constant extenuating circumstances that it's a simple pipe dream. When she was younger, she once believed that she could become a Medicine Cat to share dreams with StarClan, but decided she would rather make the first ever position of Clan Storyteller...though thats normally the job left to the Elders.
RELATIONS:
FATHER: Cougartail MOTHER: Cloudsong SIBLINGS: Larkkit (Deceased) MENTOR: Unknown at the moment CRUSH/MATE: None at the moment OFFSPRING: None OTHER: Echo - Her aunt on her mother side, a loner.
HISTORY:
There really isn't much to tell about Sagepaw's past as she's lived all of her life in the WindClan nursery with her mother and brother Larkkit. Okay thats a big fat pile of mouse dung if there ever was one. In Sage's first six moons of life, she'd managed to get in enough trouble to last a lifetime by her mothers way of thinking. If you ask Cloudsong about her daughters birth she would proudly tell you that Sagekit was born running for the stars. But then what mother wouldn't want her kits to be special?
Sage lived most of her two seasons of life in and around the WindClan nursery like any other kit. But she was rather prone to wandering around camp at all hours of the night from the time she could walk. There was one instance where she managed to sneak up on the MoonHigh guard. Her father, Cougartail wasn't around much and when asked why Cloudsong merely answered that he felt awkward around cats who were younger than him. Of course, being the curious cat that she is, Sagekit managed to stalk her father around camp for a quarter moon before he gave her flank a quick nip in warning to leave him alone. She was a worrisome kit and compared to her brother, she was the one usually being scolded.
After her third moon, Sagekit started to notice that something was off about her brother. He wasn't playing like the others and he never really noticed Sage's insistent chatter. But when she pointed this out to her mother, Cloudsong got a rather odd look on her face and chased her daughter out of the den. Due to his rather submissive nature, Larkkit followed Sagekit out of the den that night and got picked up by an eagle, despite Sagekit's wails and the other cats efforts it was too late to save her brother and Cloudsong sunk into a well of grief and depression. While she never actually blamed her daughter for her sons death, it was often implied.
Sagekit managed to make both her mother and father proud as a hedgehog burst into the nursery through a hole in the covering. A queens new born kits were endangered by the young hedgehog's spines as it rolled around the nursery. Bewildered along side the hedgehog, the small four moons old kit shoved herself between the creature and the other kits and managing to roll it out of the nursery and into the camp so that her clanmates could take care of it which led to the scar on the top of her head and back.
